Two Simple Principles

“Jena, I would like a billboard for my business but I’m not sure where to start.”

This sentence is a common occurrence among many of the business owners I speak with. Thankfully, we combine Bill Gates motto and real estate agents mantra to create the top two things you need to think through as a business owner looking for a billboard.  Some things in life are confusing, and others are very simple. It’s a great day for you as a business owner, because we condensed your answer down to two simple principles:

  1. Content is king
  2. Location, location, location

Here at Huntington Outdoor we firmly believe content is the key to a successful billboard campaign. When we sit down with each client, we work hard getting to know your business, your clients, and your story. Anything less than that is an insult to what marketing is and what it can do!

It’s all about location! Once we know more about your business we can find you the perfect location to fit your needs best. Imagine being in a meat market and your business is a vegetarian restaurant. The meat market might have a lot of people, but those people are not your target audience! You might have a good billboard, in a high traffic area, but if it’s not targeting your specific clientele, you might as well forget it!

Billboards are highly effective; but a billboard with the wrong message, in the wrong location, is not a good use of your time or marketing money. Make sure when you partner with a marketing company they are dedicated to reaching your audience and telling your story.

As always, I am here to help you and your business make marketing a success!
