The Secret of Getting Attention
The Secret of Getting Attention
Every business wants to attract attention, right? More attention to your business means more potential customers, which is always a good thing to have as a business. It is better to turn down potential customers because you are too busy, then to be in desperate need of customers. The million-dollar question becomes, what is the secret to attracting attention to your business? Being in the billboard business it is our job to attract attention to the businesses who advertise with us and over the years we have noticed several key components to the secret of attracting attention and here they are:
- Be the best at what you do. Nothing attracts more attention than a competent expert. Do not settle for being “good,” strive to go above and beyond the expectations of your customers. Always try to be better and more knowledgeable in your field of work. “There’s a way to do it better – find it.” – Thomas A. Edison.
- Always be easy to reach. Attracting attention to your business does not do your business any good if you are not easy to reach or responsive when people do reach out to you. As a rule, try to respond to emails and phone calls within 24-hours.
- Special Events. Create special events for your customers and potential customers in appreciation or showcasing your business. Company lunches for potential customers, appreciation dinners for current customers and fun events are all good ways to foster relationships, create new ones and increase potential opportunities for the future.
- Press Release. Try to get your local newspapers and news outlets interested in your business. Keep these news outlets informed of the latest events at your business. Create newsworthy content and ask your local newspapers to publish the latest news about your business.
