Your Website is important!

According to the 2017 B2B Content Marketing Trends report, when asked, “Which metrics does your organization use to determine how well its content marketing is producing results?” the highest rated answer was website traffic with 78%. With website traffic being so heavily valued, keeping that information updated and fresh is highly important. Welcome to the first of a three-part series on business websites.

Update, Update, Update

Here at Huntington, we are constantly updating our website. We have weekly blog content to update (as in, what you’re reading right now), seasonal headers to change out, new client features to add, and team member bios to keep up with the every growing team of incredible people working for Huntington.

The most important part of our website to maintain is the locations page. You’ll learn more about that next week, but it is essentially our products page. The most important page for any business to maintain is the place they display their products. People want to be able to see the product. In fact, “Branded content is increasingly part of consumers’ shopping process; more than one-quarter of all consumers (26 percent) report going to business websites for information prior to making a purchase (Q2 2011 Retail/E-Commerce Industry Report).”

For the Huntington locations page, the items we must keep updated are board locations, board videos, board pictures, and location details.

If you are a business owner, here are some questions to consider:

  • Do you value you website enough?
  • Do you frequently update its content?
  • What are the products or services you must keep updating?
  • Are you creating new content?
  • How often?
  • Do you have the software for your website to reach its full potential?
  • Do you know this software well enough?

Huntington Outdoor Advertising has been recognized for our website performance. We were awarded a perfect score from Billboard Insider and place first for the top ranking billboard website in the nation! Come back next week as we talk further about product pages.
